Combining functionality and heat is always a compromise. Big, thick mittens keep your fingers warm but prevent you from doing anything, and skin-tight precision gloves allow all the ninja tricks but with frozen fingers. These fall nicely in between. Quite a warm insulation, yet fairly dextrous fingers.

Because of the insulation, the fingers are fairly thick, so they’re not ideal for shooting or other tasks that require very fine motorics. However, using machinery, construction, and various other outdoor tasks in winter goes very well.
